My Place in the woods

“Everyone has a favorite place in nature to visit”, shared Joanie, “And this is reminiscent of one of my favorite places.  I wanted to add color, but not too much, keeping the scene muted” she explained. The image has colors of soft greens and golds. 

Artist Joanie Ford painted this when a bit of the autumn color was still evident in the landscape. She added many layers of pastel to give depth to the artwork.  A small waterfall is the focus point of the scene, but there are plenty of places for your eye to travel in the scene.
